The Playmates dolls held by the Colombian Pedagogical Museum are plastic toys bearing the company mark and the year 1980. Their movable joints, opening and closing eyes, and clothing enabled children to enact everyday activities and caregiving routines; the collection also offers a way to study how toys reflect ideas about childhood, gender, and consumption in the second half of the twentieth century.
