Their main lesson is not that computing’s past has been solved. It is the opposite: preserving software requires archives, configurations, descriptions, practical knowledge, and caution about what cannot be verified. Visitors should note which system they open, how they are running it, and what elements of the original context are absent. That small habit turns an act of curiosity into technical-historical practice.
